Tel: 01681 700 757
Website: www.ninthwaverestaurant.co.uk
Ninth Wave Restaurant showcases modern British cuisine with an ecclectic mix of vibrant ethnicity:  a celebration of quality produce gathered from the magnificent provender of Scotland. Ninth Wave’s approach is based on seasonality, using the croft’s own home-grown produce, fresh-caught seafood and organic meats from the island. Their ethos is one where sustainability meets luxury.

Husband and wife team John and Carla Lamont invite you to explore the menu, which changes daily to allow us to serve fresh local ingredients sourced from local fishermen’s catches, and crofter’s bounty. Lobster, crab and langoustine, hand-dived scallops and fish are often caught only hours before appearing on your dinner plate. John, a local fisherman himself, will not only catch your lobster and crab dinner on his wee fishing boat the “Sonsie”, but will also be your waiter and wine steward for the evening.

All  were brought up on the shores of the famous Loch Fyne in the fishing village of Tarbert. Most of their working lives have been spent in the catering trade – for Lindsay in the family run Anchor Hotel, preparing dishes using local seafood since the early 80′s. And for Liz – Head Chef picking up coveted awards in the West End of Glasgow. Now they’re based in another Argyll fishing community, Tobermory on the island of Mull.

The Cafe’ restaurant sits at the end of the pier with terrific views over Tobermory Bay to Calve island and beyond. From its dining terrace you can watch an amazing selection of fresh seafood en route from the Sound of Mull to your plate.
